Kenna has collaborated with a variety of institutions in searches for advancement professionals and understands the landscape in both private liberal arts and large public institutions. Her customized approach and previous experience in a high-performing, cutting-edge advancement shop has benefited clients such as the College of Wooster, Skidmore College, Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, the National WW II Museum, Ohio Wesleyan University, George Mason University, Luther College, Loyola Marymount University, Washington and Lee University, and Kalamazoo College.
Prior to entering executive search, Kenna served as Director of Donor Relations at the University of Virginia (UVA). During her time at UVA, she helped to facilitate the cultivation and stewardship of UVA donors and prospects and collaborated on a strategic planning effort that boosted giving and achieved university-wide development and engagement goals. Before her arrival at UVA, Kenna worked in various roles at Legacy Marketing Partners, acting as a client service manager for a number of top companies including Bank of America and L’Oréal Paris. There, she led efforts in marketing strategy, consumer engagement, and event planning.
Kenna has served as a member of the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and the Association of Donor Relations Professionals (ADRP).
