Senior Associate

Monica Bisgaard

As a Senior Associate specializing in K-12 leadership searches, Monica brings deep experience working in independent schools.

She currently serves on the advisory board at Whittle School & Studios, where she was a member of the inaugural team. Previously, she was a core faculty member for the Leadership Institute for Educators of Color at Kingswood Oxford School, in addition to serving as a community initiative lead.

Monica has served in teaching and counseling roles at institutions such as Lesley University, Milton Academy, Bunker Hill Community College, and the Collegiate School (NY).

Monica currently resides in Washington, DC, with her family. Both of her children were educated in independent schools, and her husband, Dennis Bisgaard, is well known as an independent school head and leader in K-12 teacher development. Monica is an adolescent psychologist by training and enjoys gardening, podcasts, and documentary film.
